Marine Capt. Katie Higgins, 27, will join the Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron as a C-130 demonstration pilot starting in October of this year. Capt. Higgins graduated from the US Naval Academy in 2008, and is currently assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252 (VMGR-252) at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. Higgins' appointment comes on the heels of the ouster of former squadron commander Capt. Greg McWherter, with the rather ironic call sign "Stiffy", after allegations of sexual misconduct.

There was a #4 joke to be made here, but the Hercules doesn't fly in formation.

However, that's got to be a pretty cool gig.
